How a Macau sauna works
Simpler than it looks. Five steps, in the order they happen.
- 01 Arrive and check in Bring your passport. You get a locker key and a robe; towels and amenities are provided, so come empty-handed.
- 02 The baths Start in the water. Pools, steam and a dry sauna — the arrangement differs house to house, and one or two have a signature bath worth planning around.
- 03 The lounge Afterwards, a reclining lounge. Most houses include food and drink here, and it is where people spend the longest.
- 04 Add what you want Massage and spa courses are optional, chosen on the night. Nobody rushes the decision.
- 05 Settle up and go You pay the house on the way out, and it is the figure you were told before you left. Several houses let you rest until morning.
Bring only a passport
Everything else is provided.
Payment
Cash, card, WeChat Pay and Alipay are accepted. No deposit is taken at any point.
Late arrivals
Late is fine, and several houses let you stay till morning. Tell us roughly when you will be at your hotel and we will work around it.
